Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition: Search FundsLe jeudi 10 mars 2022 à France-Amériques, nous accueillerons lors de notre déjeuner Jim Vesterman.
Jim Vesterman, former CEO of Raptor Technologies, will discuss the topic of entrepreneurship through acquisition using the search fund private equity model. Jim Vesterman founded the search fund Liberty Place Capital, LLC in 2009 and used the fund to acquire Raptor Technologies in 2012. Jim was the CEO of Raptor from 2012 - 2020 and sold the company to JMI, a software focused private equity firm. Jim led the growth of Raptor from providing security software to 7,000 schools in the United States to serving over 40,000 schools. Jim began his career at Monitor Group, a global strategy consulting firm serving Fortune 500 firms, and Monitor Clipper Partners, a $650 million middle market private equity fund. Jim has served in senior operating positions in firms ranging from technology start-ups to Fortune 500 operating companies. Jim also served in the United States Marine Corps in the Special Operations forces and was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal for his service in Iraq. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School in 2006. |
