Franck Noiret (WG95) announces the launch of Silver Economy / Innovative Healthcare Services Fund

Dear friends / colleagues,

I am very pleased to inform you that Innovation Capital, a Paris-based venture capital firm founded in 1996 with over €450m under management, has announced a first close of its new Fund dedicated to Innovative Healthcare Services. The fund has so far gathered €45 million in commitments from investors with a target final size of €100 million.

We are particularly pleased that alongside bpifrance, our main sponsor, major industrial players in the French healthcare and retirement market such as Klésia, Malakoff Médéric, IRCEM, OCIRP, Harmonie Mutuelle, Humanis, Réunica and AG2R, who together cover over 80% of French private sector workers, have decided to invest in this Fund. They all share our view that the combination of an ageing population, strong financial constraints on healthcare expenditure, together with the changing dynamic of the doctor / patient relationship will result in a major evolution over the coming years towards more preventative, patient-centered ways of delivering healthcare services. Through investment in our Fund, their aim is not only to support this evolution, but also to benefit from the insights afforded by being a part of one of the first European funds fully dedicated to this sector.

The Innovative Healthcare Services Fund will invest in European growth and development stage companies in order to support commercial deployment throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Eligible companies will offer innovative services either through the use of IT tools or new modes of delivery and organization of services in such sectors as remote assistance / monitoring / expertise, Healthcare IT, treatment compliance as well as knowledge, workflow and decision support.

I look forward to working with you as we explore these exciting new horizons.
